“We are a local Chilliwack family and it is our pleasure to bring true authentic homemade style Indian Food to our city. We’ve been cooking since we were teens and have had a dream from an early age to open up a restaurant where we could serve home-made style Indian meals. Bringing back the family atmosphere and dining experience that seems to get lost in the busy on-the-go lifestyles we all live”.
“Over the last 5 years, we found ourselves serving food from our home and with lots of encouragement from customers to open up a restaurant, we took the leap, and now anyone can come to enjoy the rich flavours of our homemade recipes. We invite you to come and find your favourite”.
Homegrown BC Chef, Daniel Angelini, was born into a love of food through his Italian side of the family. Influences include his Mom, his Nonna, Marco Pierre White, and every chef, cook, and steward that taught him everything he knows.
His style for home cookery is uncomplicated but delicious. There are always home-baked treats in his house. Chocolate is and forever will be, a house staple.
Cam Armstrong was raised in Chilliwack and after working in forestry, decided to pursue his love for cooking and attended the Culinary Arts Program at Vancouver Community College. His apprenticeship with Delta Hotel’s in Vancouver provided him the opportunity to turn his passion into a career where he worked in hotels and privately-owned restaurants in Vancouver and Kelowna, as well as providing catering services for most of his career. After 17 years he returned to Chilliwack to raise a family, and realize his dream of opening his own place with his wife. Truly a family business, Cultivate Cafe opened its doors 2018.
“Hi, I’m Shekinah. I live on a hobby farm in Chilliwack BC. I love animals – especially dogs, horses, and cats. I have two older brothers and two younger brothers, and yes, sometimes they drive me crazy! I love long bike rides, baking, skiing, hiking, swimming, piano & diy’s. I hope to someday travel to New Zealand, some exotic islands, and lots of other places! I am also dreaming up plans for a tiny house”.
With extensive training in French cuisine and North Carolina style southern BBQ, Chef D’Arcy Letourneau is currently the Executive Chef/Owner at Circle Square Doughnuts/Flame Southern BBQ in downtown Chilliwack. “Hi, I’m Anna. Together with my husband Peter, we’re raising our family of 5 children, on a small modern homestead. Our children are homeschooled and start learning entrepreneurial skills at a young age. We’ve experienced some health issues with our children which have led us to turn to natural ways of raising our family, and rely strongly on Christian values, that give us peace to get through the difficult times. We milk 1 or 2 cows, slop pigs, gather eggs, and raise most of our meat on the farm naturally. Gardening, preserving, and being students of backyard herbalism are a few of our passions. We are an active hardworking family & enjoy the great outdoors with our children, rather than ever having owned a tv. We live as natural a lifestyle as possible and learn from what our elders have taught us. We enjoy sharing what we know with others along the way”.
