Live Muralist – Tommy Green
Tommy Green is mixed-media abstract, lino print wildlife artist. He graduated with Bachelor of Fine Art with distinction, majoring in Visual Arts, specializing in Drawing & Painting, Print Media & Mixed Media, Sculpture and Extended Media, from the University of the Fraser Valley. In the Spring of 2023, he was invited to join the Federation of Canadian Artists making him a Nationally Recognized Canadian Artist. Tommy works with vibrant colours and shapes in his mural work wanting to add a little bit of more colour to the world. Tommy works with anthropomorphism, relying on the symbolism and meaning we have given the animals to create an emotional connection. Through the use of animal portraiture he aims to give the animals a platform to let them be seen as important and valuable. Something that is worthwhile to preserve and protect. He hopes he has been able to impart some of the love, fascination and concern that he has for these animals and their habitats.

Shari Bronson

Shari has been a maker since she was a small child. Over the years she has dabbled in numerous crafts, including knitting, crocheting, felting, rug hooking, dying, art journaling and book binding. Her main interests presently are felting, eco printing, and creating altered clothing. She has taught numerous classes and has exhibited several items in local galleries. Madison Anne Bassani or MANNE is a visual artist and proud Emily Carr student born in beautiful Chilliwack British Columbia. Her practice centres around the expressions of the human form thereby immortalizing the eclectic fervour of her subjects. Megan Frose

Megan Frose, and is the girl behind Wild Grizzly Art. Born in the Fraser Valley, she is an emerging artist who’s been creating for as long as she can remember. Crafting and getting her hands dirty in various mediums from clay to pen, then dove deeper into her calling of painting. Using mainly gouache paint, a halfway point between acrylic and watercolour, she strives for bold layers of colours in each piece of work. Sandra Glyngsdal
Sandra Glyngsdal primarily works with acrylic paints and ink pens. She have recently started painting with oil paints as well. As a creative, the beauty of nature inspires her artwork. Beckie (Rebecca) Hildebrand, from Langley, BC, is a doodle artist who uses various mediums to explore the whimsical side of life. Rose Khadka is a 2D animator and recent graduate of Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where she earned a Bachelor of Media Arts. Aysha McConkey

Aysha McConkey, a local wildlife artist in the Fraser Valley specializing in painting native and at risk animals to British Columbia, Canada, and its vast landscapes. With a Bachelors in Environmental Studies Natural Sciences at the University of the Fraser Valley, Aysha works full time as a junior biologist and uses her experience, knowledge and passion in wildlife conservation and biology to create paintings and illustrations. Aysha combines science and art to educate the public on environmental issues and species that are at risk that need more attention, with a preference to painting species that don’t tend to get enough attention but are vital to our environment, like bats, insects, amphibians, and reptiles. Aysha has experience painting murals in a variety of different art styles, creating scientific illustrations for peer-reviewed journals, and painting by commission like creating pet portraits. Her goal is to inspire others through her work to get involved in protecting the environment and to appreciate the wildlife and ecosystems in British Columbia.

Peter Provost
Peter Provost is a respected Indigenous wood carver who brings rich cultural heritage to life through his powerful carvings. Over the years, he has brought a towering 30-foot totem pole, smaller totem poles, traditional carvings, and even a hand-carved canoe to share with fairgoers. As he carves live throughout the weekend, Peter generously shares the stories, history, and deep meaning behind the imagery etched into the wood—offering a rare and meaningful opportunity to witness Indigenous art and storytelling in action.

Drew Ramey

Drew Ramey is a origami artist from Agassiz, BC. He has been folding origami since he was a child, but did not start folding advanced models until his teenage years. Origami is a versatile art that includes many different styles and approaches and the models at my table show this range. The majority of models are folded from a single piece of square paper with no cuts. Drew’s goal in presenting at the fair is to inspire others to fold origami, as well as to increase the general public’s awareness of the range of complexity that exists in modern origami.

Heidi Sullivan

Heidi Sullivan’s artistic journey began in Kindergarten in Germany and grew through doodles as a teenager in the Haisla Nation of Kitamaat Village. Before retiring, she gifted wildlife sketches in ink and pencil—owls, orcas, squirrels, cats, and flowers—to family and friends. Now a member of the Golden Palette Club, Heidi continues to self-teach in pencil, ink, watercolour, and acrylic. Nancy Thygesen (BFA, MPS, CPT) is a mixed media artist whose work explores the intersection of nature, spirit, and story. Mackenzie Widdows is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Fraser Valley whose visual work is characterized by colourful compositions that celebrate joy, leisure, and the wonder of everyday life. With a background in Visual Art and Literature from the University of the Fraser Valley, Mackenzie’s practice is rooted in storytelling through bold colour, playful form, and a sense of lighthearted sincerity. His recent work includes painting, ceramics, and wearable balloon sculptures, all unified by a desire to spark delight and connection. Mackenzie has exhibited across the Fraser Valley and was recently awarded an Honourable Mention at the 2024 Peggy Staber Memorial Contest Exhibition for his ceramic piece “The Time of My Life”. This summer, Mackenzie is excited to bring his vibrant paintings and whimsical balloon animals to the 153rd Annual Chilliwack Fair, where visitors of all ages can enjoy and interact with his joyful approach to art.
